Subject to availability the school accepts pupils throughout the academic year; pupils entering the school mid-year are encouraged to attend a day taster / assessment.
An admissions form must be fully completed and deposit paid for a child to attend Green Meadow.
An Open Day is an informal opportunity for prospective families to visit the School, to meet the Senior Management Team and teaching staff. Open Days offer a valuable opportunity to see the school first hand and to ask any question that you may have.
We offer Open Days/Evenings throughout the year. Alternatively a private tour of the school can be arranged by telephoning 01942 671138.
The earlier you register your child with us, the better. We do offer a priority place to children who have attended First Steps Nursery (Lowton or Pennington branches) however, this is not compulsory.
No, we are a day school only.
Green Meadow Independent School offers small class sizes to ensure all children gain personal attention and have a chance to contribute well to class discussion. Our policy is a maximum of 24 in a class.
We offer personalised learning for every child, each pupil is supported to fulfil their potential.
We are a very happy school with excellent pastoral care. The relatively small size of our school ensures that everyone knows everyone else (including the Head Teachers), the school has a “family friendly feel”.
We have a very effective Anti-Bullying Policy and any bullying issues are resolved quickly and discreetly. Some of our school policies may be accessed via this website alternatively you can ask for a copy at any time.
Additional cost include: support learning and excursions.
Uniform can be purchased at ‘JayMax’ at 1 Gas St, Leigh, Lancashire WN7 4PG (Tel: 01942 682984) to enable parents and pupils to shop at their leisure. Alternatively we do have some stock onsite. Please speak to your childs teacher.
Yes we do and tuition fees cover this.
Green Meadow Independent Primary School does not encourage parents to book holidays outside of the pre-confirmed holidays. However, we would request that parents write to the Headteacher to request holidays and whilst these would be noted as unauthorised it would be the at the Head’s discretion.
Pupils come to Green Meadow Independent School from a wide range of private day nurseries, private preparatory schools and state primary schools. We have a significant intake from our own Day Nursery, but the majority of our pupils come from other sources.
